PrepPreheat oven to 350°F (175°C).Lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish.2. Brown the pork chops (optional but adds flavor)Heat a skillet with a little oil.Sear pork chops 2–3 minutes per side until lightly browned.
(You can skip this step and bake raw — still delicious.)3. Make the sauce
In a bowl, mix together:
✔ cream of chicken soup
✔ chicken broth
✔ onion soup mix
✔ pepper & garlic powder (optional)
Stir until smooth.
4. Assemble the dishLay the pork chops in the baking dish.Pour the sauce over the top.Add sliced onions or mushrooms on top if using.5. BakeCover the dish with foil.Bake 1 hour (up to 1 hour 15 min for very thick chops) until tender.Remove foil during the last 10 minutes if you want the top to brown slightly.6. Serve
Serve chops with plenty of the gravy-style sauce.

Add ½ cup sour cream to the sauce before baking.
Add potatoes
Place sliced potatoes or baby potatoes in the dish under the chops.
They cook in the sauce and turn buttery-soft.
Add mushrooms
Stir in a can of sliced mushrooms or 1 cup fresh mushrooms.
For boneless chops
Reduce baking time to 45–50 minutes.
